       B.B.Q. at Louis Gentiles’ House 1:00 pm (34 Sylvester Rd, Scituate, MA)

 

2. New Date for SkyScraper visit – Bill will set a date for (Sep 22 New Moon)

            AstroAssembly at SkyScrapers is Sep 29-30

 

3. Lost eye piece (10mm Plossl)

 

4. George Alexander and family, Bruce Gerhard, Don Greeley went to

        Stellafane in Springfield, VT

 

New Business

 

1.  Cub Scout viewing visit to Centennial Park – Sept. 16th

 

2.  N.A.S.A. visit to Weymouth High School Oct 1 – 5, 2006 (Rolf will check with Ledger reporter; Bill Luzader will check with Mike Richards (planetarium director at W.H.S.))

 

3. For fun, check out Google Earth, Google Moon (with details of landing sights SWISS CHEESE!) on the “internet”

 

4. John Flores attended Savoy Star Party, Adams, MA

 

5. Bruce Gerhard had good viewing at Baily Hill in NH

 

6. Connecticutt River Valley Astronomy Conjunction, Northfield, MA Aug 18-20 (Northeast Utility Visitor Center)

 

7. Future of Sky and Telescope? – was sold to a “holding company” that has a few other magazine holdings

 

8. Steve LaFlemme still using the Meade DSI camera and still observing star that has large proper motion; camera looses resolution with long connector cable
