Discussion about the accuracy of the Canadian Sky Clock and the transparency of the sky – even if it is clear, the seeing and the transparency can vary. Use the Little Dipper to judge star brightness: Polaris and Kochab are 2nd magnitude, Pherkad is 3rd magnitude, three others (in the handle) are 4.0th 4.5th magnitude and the dimmest *star below the handle-bowl connection) is 5th magnitude
