Geometry of the Universe
OLD BUSINESS
Quincy Viewing is scheduled for Feb 24th with indoor presentation. Feb. 25th Scituate Day Program at the Library followed by viewing in the evening. Bill is hoping to do a presentation on using the stars for navigation.
Asteroid Occultation – Jan 14th. Viewing challenge. This will be difficult viewing but if members are interested we will go to the field and try the challenge.
Dues in now due.
Norwell Observing Event – Scheduled for Oct. Paul will meet with the South Shore Printmakers in the Spring to Plan.
Bumper Sticker and Business Cards. The board will decide on stickers at Spring meeting. Paul and Bob will make business cards for with website info for upcoming programs.
Bill is home and doing well. He hopes to get to the Feb meeting if transport can be arranged. He is also interested in doing the Navigation program in Scituate. Paul got an email from Rolf he is recovering from successful eye surgery hope to be at the March or April meeting.
NEW BUSINESS
Bob Pietroski was elected new treasurer. Thanks to Chuck for the many years he has held that position. We will be looking at a new bank as the Bank of America is charging high fees.
Mars at Opposition – In March we will feature viewing of Mars and Messier Marathon.
Astronomy Day – April 28. Again this year we will be celebrating Astronomy Day at the Scituate Public Library. More info as we get into the spring.
