1. Visit to Cole School (Norwell), December 6th – a good presentation with about 50 people attending, weather not good

 

2. Silver Lake Middle School Viewing Postponed from December 16 for sometime in January or February

 

3. Board of Directors Meeting – Sunday Jan 13 at Council on Aging @ 2:00 PM

a. 50th Anniversary Celebration

b. Astronomy Day 2008

 

4. February Marshfield Star Party – Spencer Howe; and in Sharon by former club member Jim Barron

 

5. PCIS Observatory Update – STEP Meeting Sat Jan 26 @ 10 am at PCIS Planetarium (Plymouth)

 

NEW BUSINESS

 

1. Congratulations to Spencer and Dawn Howe on the Birth of their second daughter, Diana, on December 20th

 

2. January viewing nights, Sat, Jan. 5 & Sat, Jan 12 – Sundown

 

3. Astronomy Year 2009 (declared by the United Nations – more later)

 

4. Meteorite impact on Mars on January 30 with group chit-chat
