No new news from STEP Foundation.
Paul Grueter says that there is not too much activity on the bulletin board. He will try to set it up so that any body can read but only members can post.
Group Discussion:
mass mailing folder on the web site (?)
What can be put on the web site that would inform the public about our activities?
Add “private group events” to Upcoming Events to let non-members know what the club is doing. Details will not be added so organizing group is not “undercut”.
Louis Gentile discusses Astronomy Day May 5-6:
Plan A Unitarian Church, downtown Norwell; Plan B South Shore Science Center; Plan C Marshfield Audubon. Publicity to be decided by group with whom SSAS does activities. Suggestion: Friday evening observing at Centennial and Saturday afternoon inside or outside and evening outside at some location with a community connection
In order to comply with Article 1
Section 2 of the club’s By Law, we the board has decided to rejuvinate
telescope donation (4.5 inch Orion Dob) to an adult
associated with a community group that works with children. Suggestions will
come from membership. Bill Luzader will check out a
BarBQ at Gentiles sometime in July
