1. 50^th Anniversary celebration plans

Andy volunteers to draft a letter (containing the following information, once dates, times and format are finalized):

Saturday Sep 27, 2008

6 pm dinner (Potluck and store-ordered food - self catered) & 7:30 pm speakers

At Norwell Council on Aging - Check with Rosemary O’Connor of the Council on Aging – check about if there is a number limit in the council and if we need police for this special function.

Contact former members and collect old club documents

Some astronomy related doo-dad – red light pen with club logo – to give as party favor

Hammer & Schlemer catalog advertised a ‘low price’ copier of 35mm slides - Mal and Chuck will check on a 35mm slide scanners

Bill Luzader will contact George East and Jerry Flaherty and ask Don Greeley to ask him about past presidents & invite Dennis DiCicco, of Sky and Telescope and former SSAS member

2. Astronomy Day May 10 at the church

Bill Luzader will check with Peter Schultz of Brown University to be a speaker.

Louis Gentile will check the web for 1 act plays about Isaac Newton.

Bill Luzader will need assistance using the STARLAB planetarium

3. Total Lunar Eclipse

Evening February 20

Club activity at Centennial Park
